Social Principles with Pastor Cindy Shelton
Pastor Cindy will be facilitating a four-week study on “The Social Principles of The United Methodist Church.” The Social Principles speak to issues in the contemporary world from a sound biblical and theological foundation that is in keeping with the best of our United Methodist traditions. They challenge all members to engage in deliberative reflection and encourage intentional dialogue between faith and practice. The group will meet after worship in the Jim Boles classroom. The topics will be: October 6th-Creation; October 13th-no study (Charge Conference); October 20th- Economic Community; October 27th-Social Community; and November 3rd-Political Community. On Purpose with Dustin Hunter
Join Dustin Hunter in the Board Room immediately after worship starting on August 11 to begin a new life group offering at FUMC. This group is open to adults of all ages. The group will begin each session by checking-in with each other and praying before diving into the week’s topic. To kickstart the group, Dustin will be facilitating a discussion on the book On Purpose: Finding God’s Voice in Your Passion.
